You could feel a range of emotions immediately after the event and in the long term you may feel overwhelmed, helpless and hopeless. It can have long term effects on your well-being and develop to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Additionally, if you have experienced exposure to multiple traumatic events you may be suffering with complex trauma. It can negatively affect your daily life and your relationships.
Symptoms can be:

• Confusion
• Difficulty concentrating
• Anxiety and fear
